One size fits all! 100% cotton!

Deadstock vintage (Mayan backstrap weave) handwoven hand embroidered Mayan textile from Guatemala. This gorgeous “Huipil” is traditionally worn as a top by the women of the tribe to identify where they were from. The designs/embroidery style are distinct to the specific region and to some of the best weavers in the world! These unique style of embroidery is even more fascinating in person!

It can be worn as a sort of poncho style top with or without a belt or flipped to the side for a cropped version (as shown in the latter photos)

This piece has already lived a lifetime or a few and has signs of being well loved and worn! The color variations show where the piece was previously edited for a smaller person. The brighter strips were hidden under a seam.
