Deadstock vintage (Mayan backstrap weave) handwoven hand embroidered Mayan textile from Guatemala. This gorgeous “Huipil” is traditionally worn as a top by the women of the tribe to identify where they were from. The designs/embroidery style are distinct to the specific region and to some of the best weavers in the world! These 3D flowers are such a unique style of embroidery that are even more fascinating in person!
It can be worn as a sort of poncho style top with or without a belt or flipped to the side for a cropped version(shown in the last photo)
